You get what you pay for

The name of this product is very misleading: it contains only 5% down. It is also noisy--the lining makes a relatively loud crinkling sound like plastic. This may still go away, I have no idea. Other reviewers report feathers sticking out and poking people after just a few weeks. But it costs 1/10 what a nice down comforter does...so...you get what you pay for. To its credit, it is warm, has nice loft, and is light.

They have changed it!

I ordered one of these last year around Christmas and was very happy with the quality. So much so that I ordered two more this year for my children. The comforter I received this year is nothing like the one last year. It is exactly like the posts that describe it as sewn together sheets with feathers poking out of it! You can feel the plucked feathers everywhere! Yuck! The one from last year is soft, with fine down and not a feather poking anywhere. It is sad that there is such inconsistency in the product.

Heavenly Beds on a Budget

This company, Natural Comfort has to be the best kept secret out there. Whoever you are... BLESS YOU! I love your stuff, loves it! I have to compare this to the overprice Pacific Coast Feather Co. I used to buy their products, but not anymore as long as this one is affordable. This company actually uses GOOSE FEATHER DOWN. A big difference from "feather filled". Down products should be made of goose or duck down and is a soft gentle under feather that looks like a matured dandelion head flying in the breeze. Down feathers are used by the birds is used for bird nesting and insulation for birds to stay warm during cold seasons that's why its such a great product for bedding. Feather filled can be made of many types of fowl feathers... particulary chicken, wild game, turkey or goose from commercial farms and are hard and pointy. Feather filled products will tend to poke out of fabric or feel "hard" under your touch. With this comforter, you get nothing like it. You can tell its real goose down and if you hold it up to the light, you can see the down under the fabric. Yeah, maybe the pockets are not filled completely, but you don't need it to be. This comforter holds the heat in. I love it. I recommend it to APO customers and stateside. Awesome product.

Great comforter & price!

I priced this comforter all over the internet and Amazon (this seller) had the best price. The comforter arrived promptly and in excellent condition. "Hotel Collection" is top-of-the-line for down comforters-very high down fill and excellent quality. Regarding SIZE, this particular comforter is an "oversized queen"-when shopping for comforters be sure you know what measurements you're looking for since "oversized" will differ from "regular" and affect choice of your Duvet Cover.

I purchased the Hotel Collection Bedding "Medium Weight" Down Comforter Full/Queen two years ago because I was looking for a comforter that would keep you warm during the winter and cool during the summer. I'm who you would call those that uses a blanket regardless of weather. At first the price stopped me because I have seen down comforters starting at $100. The comforter would have to be five stars for me to pay $250. When I got a gift card that Christmas that I could use toward this purchase- I bought it and I do not regret the purchase at all. Worth every penny! The Hotel Collection Down Comforter keeps you warm during 30 degrees nights without having to wear heavy sleep wear. It's light so you do not feel weighed down while you are sleeping. During the summers, the blanket keeps you cool. Such a great find, I bought my sister one for college!

Comforter is everything my daughter wanted. She wanted a down comforter because she lives in Boston. We are very satisfied with the quality and warmth. The comforter is hunharian goose down, 750 fill as advertised. Would highly recommend.

Goose Down Alternative Comforter

I purchased this comforter for my 16 year old. I wasn't looking for anything real expensive, since he sits alot on his bed and the comforters wear out pretty quick. I expected just a cheapy comforter, not very warm and not very soft. What I got was a nicely stitched, adequately stuffed comforter that is made out of very soft cotton. My son loves it.
I would recommend this comforter.

Ultrasoft - a fantastic deal!

I must admit when I saw the price I was pretty sceptical but I read the other review and decided to take a chance. BOY AM I GLAD I DID. It arrived quickly thanks to Amazon Prime and it is soooo soft. PLUS is that's fabulous microfiber. It's just the thing to finish the makeover in my sons room. By the way I got the king even though his bed is a queen - given that each size is the same price it's almost now like a comforter bedspread!!! VERY satisfied.

So soft and comfy!

I originally purchased this to use as the insert for a duvet cover I ordered. I figured I would just get something inexpensive since you wouldn't see it anyway. Boy was I surprised! I have this on my bed and still have the duvet cover in its orginal packaging! I may not even use the duvet cover until this comforter show signs of wear (which may not be too long since my 9 month old lab puppy decided it is super comfy too!). It is very soft, very warm and nicely made - especially for the price! I got the brown and cream and couldn't be happier with my purchase!

Smells like the duck from which the feathers came from is rotting inside the blanket

The other reviews rave about this product. Maybe the smell will dissipate. I can smell it on my hands after I touch it. I washed it and dried it. Now I have it hanging outside in the side. Hoping that will help.

WARM even in Chicago winter

Needed a new quilt/comforter, and we keep the house at 58 at night--so I wanted a warm one that didn't cost the earth or a mortgage payment. THIS one was noted as being VERY warm (and allergy resistant since for allergy reasons I cannot do down). IT IS. Bravo. Though it doesn't look heavy and isn't to sleep under, had to turn the heat in the waterbed down to a lower temperature (good for the winter heating bills). Fabulous item for it's price.

I chose this to fit a queen-size platform storage bed because I didn't want the sides to overhang below the drawers. It is VERY warm, but not too heavy. Excellant loft. Baffel boxes keep filling from shifting.

Very warm, very puffy, very clean and soft

Did my homework before buying this, had some concerns about non-down but this is very very nice. You will still want an all-cotton duvet cover. Good for people who need a Siberian down type comforter but have money, allergy or pet issues. Me, I like down, but I have a rescue pup with a nervous bladder, and there is NOTHING I can do if the sirens drive by or the alarm goes off. SO....down did not launder well and I don't want to sleep with or pay for all that dry-cleaning solvent.....
